The cake is at the Willis Museum in Basingstoke, Hampshire and is reported to have survived a World War II bombing raid - very cool. I mean, I love cake (like funfetti) but I'm not sure I would ever try this...but like I said, very cool that it exists. This ornate wedding cake was once displayed in the window of a family bakery C H Philpott in Potters Lane Basingstoke. It is believed to have been made in 1898 and was donated to the Museum Service in 1995 by the baker’s daughter Ruby Philpott. - via
